My experience – being a new mummy πŸ‘ͺπŸ‘ΆπŸ’™

If you had told me that I would be a mum at 23 I would not have believed you, because I wasn’t very maternal and didn’t think about having babies and all that responsibility. I would have told you that I am waiting until I get married and have a good job!

But since I met my fiance who I’ve been with for over 4 years now, the way I viewed the world and everything around me changed, i matured not only mentally but emotionally, i realised that he’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with and who I want to have children with.

Getting pregnant and carrying logan for 9 months definitely was the most daunting/scariest and exciting time of my life no doubt but let me tell you the last few days of my pregnancy dragged..I thought I was going to to go into labour on my due date and everything be very organised and perfect…oh no this little monkey decided he’d hold on for 5 more days, but the wait was definitely worth it, I mean he’s perfect!

The moment Logan was placed on my chest I was in awe, exhausted, relieved it was as if all my worries all my anxiety had been lifted because when I saw his little squished face everything was perfect and nothing else mattered but him!

Sleep when baby sleeps!

Yeah that’s all very well but when all you seem to want to do is stare at them….constantly wandering just how you managed to squeeze that baby out of your lady garden.😹

I’ll be honest I hardly slept at the hospital just because of all the adrenaline and all theses different thoughts racing through your mind, like how am I going to cope, what if I can’t stop him crying, omg we got to Home tomorrow, what do I do. Yeah the first few days will be caos and you probably won’t get much sleep either unless your blessed with an angel child who sleeps through from day 1 (do they actually exist?).

But don’t worry it will get easier and you’ll be wandering where those days /weeks went since bringing them home.

When logan first smiled, that was one of my happiest moments because well it just was just how can you not look at that face and not smile back πŸ‘ΆπŸ˜Š. This boy seriously makes my days just that much brighter and everyday I’m blessed with sleepy cuddles (cherish those by the way)

Logan’s now 5 months old and I just cannot believe how fast these months have gone, he’s got 2 bottom teeth, he can sit up for quite a long time, he can roll front to back and back to front, he’s also pretty strong on his feet.

All I’m saying is don’t take the early days for granted, you’ll be wishing you had your newborn back when they start walking and drawing paw patrol dogs all over your new walls in crayon. πŸ™€

That’s all for now, keep a look out for my next post on this blog.

Keep smiling πŸ˜„ -mummytologan
