This year I thought it would be super exciting to take part in #Blogtober2017, if you don’t know what that is then hop along to Hexmum’s blog and you can take a looksie. I have also decided that i’m going to go all Stealth mode with these posts, as i don’t want to spam my homepage with blogtober, but don’t worry i’m still taking part! 🙂 – You can also click on my blogtober image in the sidebar.
Day 2 of Blogtober is all about the theme babies, at first I was like what on earth do I do with this, and then I remembered I’ve had a baby (well now a toddler) but I am expecting baby number 2 soon! So today I thought I would talk about my first born and how he entered the world.
Logan is my first baby who will, no matter how old he gets, i’ll always call him my baby boy! He was born on the 19th of May 2016, however he was 5 days late, he was meant to arrive on the 14th of May, but who’s really that punctual?
Please do ignore the fact I look a state, but I did just push a 7lb 4oz baby out from my lady garden lol. I don’t know why but I thought it would be a brilliant idea to dip dye the ends of my hair, so that I wouldn’t look a total wreck while giving birth but that didn’t go to plan. I have already wrote Logan’s birth story so if you’d like to go ahead and read that then you’re more than welcome. But yes, this image was the first my partner took of both me and Logan, which is why I can’t not share it, i did hope for some pictures of me in the birthing pool but Rob was too distracted at the fact I was seconds away from pushing this amazing person out.
This is the first picture I took of logan in the hospital waiting to be picked up my nan and Rob, this was the very moment I realised, this was it and we were about to enter the rest of our lives together as a family of 3, no more safety net of the hospital. He was wearing a mickey mouse sleepsuit and hat which I bought the day after we found out he was a little baby boy.
In this picture, we had taken Logan out for the first time, we had to go to the bank and here daddy was treating me to a well deserved pub meal, he slept the whole way through the meal, thank goodness! He was aslo wearing a nitted cardigan that my great nan, Logan’s great great nan had nitted for him before birth.
This was taken in the moment I realised Logan was no longer acting like a baby, he was sitting up, eating baby rice and laughing, smiling and showing his cheeky little baby self.
This is our second baby S at the 20 week scan, it also means that we’ll soon have another baby to coo and love! Who knew that you could love more than human being at once, but there will always be space in my heart for my children <3
So yes in answer to my title, Logan did change my life for the better, he has made me more confident in my own abilities, he has shown me that I can be patient, caring, giving and that I am actually a good mum!
Hope you enjoyed reading my post. Looking forward to tomorrow’s #blogtober2017 post, all about Cars – Still haven’t a clue what to write about though lol
