This year I thought it would be super exciting to take part in #Blogtober2017 if you don’t know what that is, then hop along to Hexmum’s blog (Mandi) and you can take a looksie. I have also decided that I’m going to go all Stealth mode with these posts, as i don’t want to spam my homepage with blogtober, but don’t worry I’m still taking part! – You can also click on my blogtober image in the sidebar.
Day 9 of Blogtober is all about Ice-cream. What on earth am I going to write about ice-cream? As much as a lot of people love ice-cream, i could happily give or take it, to be honest, I’m more a savoury gal, same with chocolate unless it’s got some sort of biscuit inside I’m not bothered. So today I thought i would go through some of the Ice-cream that i distinctively remember eating as a child.
The excitement from hearing the Ice-cream van outside, only for your mum or dad to shout, No your’e not having one, there’s choc-ices in the freezer!!!
Some of these they still sell today and others have copycats, but these are just the ones that i remember ordering from the ice-cream van etc. #90’s
Does anyone else remember this ice-cream? I used to love this and probably asked for this the most, looking back I’m not too sure why i mean it didn’t exactly look too appetizing but the toffee flavour was definitely nice!
Another one of my all-time childhood favourites, and even today if i see a box of these at the supermarkets i will probably reminisce and buy some! Does anyone else do this when they see something that reminds them of there childhood?
This one made me laugh because often times my parents would only let us have a screwball because it was the cheapest thing from the ice-cream man hehe! I remember very well, feeling very excited to get to the bubblegum at the bottom, but now i think about it, there is nothing nice about chewing on a rock hard/cold piece of flavourless bubblegum!
The Twister, another ice-cream that takes me straight back to my childhood days, especially the summer months or on the beach, I’d always see this and debate, hmm, twister or zzapp. If we were out in Barmouth or Porthmadog i would remember having one of these and it melting as soon as i opened the packet!
Sorry, this post isn’t too informative, but i struggled to come up with loads to say about ice-cream? Anyway, let me know if there’s any ice-cream that you used to love from your childhood.
Until tomorrow’s blog post (Prompt is Joke) – cya x
