How i use twitter as a blogger #Blogtober2017

This year I thought it would be super exciting to take part in #Blogtober2017 if you don’t know what that is, then hop along to Hexmum’s blog and you can take a looksie. I have also decided that I’m going to go all Stealth mode with these posts, as i don’t want to spam my homepage with blogtober, but don’t worry I’m still taking part! – You can also click on my blogtober image in the sidebar.

Were drawing to a close with Blogtober, its gone so fast hasn’t it! Baba number 2 will be here before i know it. Day 28 is about Twitter, i had no clue what to tell you about Twitter to be honest as i only really use to promote and share my blog posts and the odd moment when i feel like ranting even if there is only a 140 character limit.

Before I started blogging, i primarily used Twitter for posting daft tweets throughout my day and was probably one of my most unused social media applications. Nowadays as a blogger Twitter has many great uses to me, and i check Twitter atleast once/twice a day.

Whenever i submit a new blog post, i have my WordPress settings set up so that when i hit publish the link and featured image automatically posts to my twitter and any other social media platform which i’ve selected, which is really usefull, as it saves me a lot of time in copying and pasting links and trying to remember to share it after ive written a post.

Twitter is also really useful as a blogger, as there are lots of likeminded bloggers out there who are in “Lists” which are a great and quite a powerful resource if you know how to use them to your advantage. Twitter makes connecting to other bloggers and getting your content seen a lot easier. However there is a lot of competition as Twitter is one of those fast moving platforms, and as soon as you’ve posted a tweet, it only stays at the top of somones feed for seconds so it’s important to keep sharing that link (NOT SPAMMING) just maybe once an hour or something like that.

There are other apps like Tailwind which can help you automate and schedule your tweets/links but i’ve yet to invest in their service.

Let me know if this post has somewhat helped you? Feel free to follow me on Twitter if ya like.

Until tomorrow’s blog post (Prompt is Instagram) – cya x
