Happy birthday to me 🥳

Happy birthday to me 🥳

Another year older, another year closer to the big 30! I don’t want to get to that age yet, I don’t feel ready. Someone pause time and make me age slower please, I’m lucky I’m blessed with a young looking face but how long can I keep that up for?

26 years old, 26! Eek that just sounds too scary, without sounding ungrateful or harsh but what have I achieved in my life so far.

Don’t get me wrong my kids are my world and I don’t regret having them one bit, but sometimes I do wonder if I’ll ever get chance to work / earn my own money, I don’t want to be stuck living in a council house forever, and struggling with this Universal credit, I’m thankful it exists but I do wish I could go out and start earning my own money.

I have a computing degree and yet it’s not really proved useful so far, in fact I don’t even think it’s what I want to do anymore, for months I’ve been debating what career I want and whether or not I’ll get to follow that path.

But yes, rant over. All in all I’ve had a fantastic day, spent with friends and family and Ben too! Probably my best birthday ever! The boys are at their dads this weekend so I got a little bit tipsy (ben and Aaron’s request) considering I’ve never really touched alcohol in my life.

We went for a meal to the Red lion pub in Ellesmere, the food was Devine and I definitely left feeling full! The prices were very reasonable too for the portions we received.

We then went to tenpin in Eagles Meadow for a few games of pool and Aaron treated me and Ben to a drink, following that we walked to Atik nightclub in town and I was, of course ID’d, suppose my outfit of choice didn’t help 😂 but all in all was a very good night and I was buzzing by the end of the night.

Thank you everyone whose wished me happy birthday, and a massive shoutout to Ben for treating me like a queen! 🥰 #SoBlessed

  1. Happy birthday, 30 is so young, I am going to be 56 next month, how did that happen? Still I will always be 12 years younger than my husband, ha!#,triamphanttales@_karendennis

  2. Happy birthday again lovely, it sounds like you had a lovely time celebrating! Get Ben to start saving for your 30th now and you can really splurge hahah! Oh and thanks again for the dress inspiration =]
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next week!

  3. They say it’s yer birthday, happy birthday to you! I always thought 26 was the best possible age if you had to pick one and stay at that age (you know, like a vampire or something). You’ve got the experience, probably got in most of your schooling, if you’ve had kids you’re young enough and wise enough to get the most out of those years and a big one for me, you can rent a car.
So happy birthday you do looking younger than 26 which means you can be the perfect age for many years to come. My other perfect age is 42.
Of course as you get older any age you’re at can be the perfect age.

  4. Happy Birthday to you! Hope you manage to find a career path that makes you fall in love with work. I’m 37 this year and I *think* I’m finally there, took me bloomin’ ages though! Thanks for linking up #twinklytuesday (ps, loving the hair colour!) x
