This year I thought it would be super exciting to take part in #Blogtober2017 if you don’t know what that is, then hop along to Hexmum’s blog (Mandi) and you can take a looksie. I have also decided that I’m going to go all Stealth mode with these posts, as i don’t want to spam my homepage with blogtober, but don’t worry I’m still taking part! – You can also click on my blogtober image in the sidebar.
Day 6 of Blogtober is all about the theme Flowers, and much like the last few prompts i struggled to come up with something different, didn’t want to just post a few pictures of flowers and say, here you go this is a particular flower i like because its…pretty? I’d be bullshitting you to be honest (mind my French) So I came up with an original idea to tell you about this game i’ve been completely addicted to lately and have been on and off for several years, and that game is Animal Crossing New leaf.
Now a lot of you are probably wondering what on earth i’m going on about, and what the heck is ACNL?! Well if you hop over and read this post first you might have a better understand, and to save a lot of the confusion. Alot of you won’t know this but I am quite the geek and i love a good video game.
There are lots of ways in which you can get flowers in your game, if you aren’t too bothered about getting the perfect town status then this post probably doesn’t apply to either, but you may just like to have a lot of flowers across your town.
In Animal Crossing New Leaf there are several species of flowers, there are Tulips, Roses, Cosmos, Pansy’s, Lily’s and Violets (there are other special flowers, but lets not worry about them today hehe).
The first way in which you can get flowers is by watering them daily so that they can hopefully breed and spawn new flowers, unless you’re aiming to get hybrids (which is a whole new subject in itself) then you will just be left with the basic offspring flowers.
The basic colours for all of the flowers (except Violets) are Red, Yellow and White, and with Violets there are Yellow, Purple and White. This method however is slow and will take you ages to get loads of flowers as you see in the screen shots.
The quickest way, i’ve found to get a lot of flowers in your ACNL game is to go to the ISLAND, you may or may not be wondering, “maria hang on but the island is just for bugs and fish right?” Well you’d be wrong there are Island Tours which you can play, typically to earn tortimer medals but what i discovered, in some of the Island games you can actually pick up a whole pocket full of flowers (with or without completing the game) and with these you can store them in the island’s basket ready for you to take back to your town once you have collected as many “FREE” flowers as you like! Well as many as the Island pick up box can carry. But you can go back and forth to the island as many times as you like and fill your town full of beautiful flowers!
But you can go back and forth to the island as many times as you like and fill your town full of beautiful flowers! (Please note you need to pay 1,000 bells -ACNL currency – each trip to the island but it is well worth it in my opinion)
Well that’s basically it, you can also buy flower’s from Leif’s gardening shop for 80 bells but when you can so many for free (at the cost of 1000 bell trip) there really is no point as Leif only stocks 2 flower bags a day. (By the way Animal crossing plays in real time according to the time set on your 3DS)
Until tomorrow’s blog post (Prompt Goals) – cya x
